King and a guy dressed like a creepy clown/jester walk into a room that looks like a cross between a BDSM torture studio and a magic shop
Pandora challenges him to a game "between two dark magicians"
King accepts the challenge and makes sure to lecture his opponent on how he shuffles his deck improperly
Things go awry, however, when Pandora reveals the twist on their game - both players are shackled in place, and the losers will literally have their legs buzzsawed off
King is furious and demands to know if Pandora enjoy games that kill others, which earns the expected answer
Having no patience for This Shit, King resolves to beat Pandora's ass into the dirt - which he does, I cut out like all of the card game but you can guess what happens
With victory for King assured, he sits back to watch Pandora get his legs buzzsawed off
Pandora pulls out a key to free himself - because he's a cheater - but for some reason stops (King doesn't know why)
By the time the buzzsaw is cutting into Pandora's leg, King gets wrenched out of his own body - and gets a bizarre out-of-body view of Yugi rushing to save Pandora at the last second (because King wasn't going to)
The name "Yugi" isn't blurred out, but King has the strong sense that it isn't his name.

It also seems that he exists in the present day because his soul has been sealed in the Millennium Puzzle for 3000 years
Fortunately Ishizu waltzes in just in time to plot dump, by confirming that he is indeed the lost Pharaoh and he's going to have to go on a tedious fetch quest to regain his memories
King and Kaiba/Intensity (!) are strolling along a city street, presumably minding their own damn business, when a little masked goblin leaps down from a nearby rooftop and locks Intensity's duel disk
He calls it a "Duelist's Chastity Belt" and that's the official Viz translation, we cannot make this shit up
Anyway, Kaiba is REAL MAD and informs this guy that touching his duel disk is in fact punishable with death, which seems reasonable enough
It turns out the little goblin man is actually blackmailing the two of them into a duel - by holding King's friend Jounouchi's life on the line, and by holding Kaiba's.... trading cards on the line
The two angrily agree and meet their opponents on top of the skyscraper, where it's revealed this will be a duel to the death - bombs rigged to explode will send the losers tumbling through the center of the skyscraper to their deaths on the ground floor
The Masks taunt them, but both of them just respond with "FIGHT ME"
The memory ends there so maybe they both fell through a skyscraper to their deaths and ended up in Imeeji, we REALLY don't know at this juncture

King glances back out at the city for a moment before turning back to Mahad.
King: Perhaps you're right. It's not safe here. We should go.
Mahad: Yes, stay close--
Mahad looks away, seemingly guilty, before continuing.

They begin heading into the palace, down an elaborately decorated hallway.
Mahad: One can never be too cautious.
As if on cue, a loud thunk! comes from one of the large ornate vases lining the hallway. Both stop in their tracks, staring.
King: Did you hear that?
Mahad immediately moves between King and the vase.
Mahad: Stay behind me.
Suddenly, girl hurls herself out of the vase and leaps at King, latching onto him. King himself is too startled to protest.
Mahad: Mana, what are you doing?!
Mahad scruff her like a cat and pulls her off of King. Mana immediately begins protesting.
Mana: What, I can't pay a visit to my oldest friend? I just miss him, that's all. After all these years of practicing magic together, we're practically family! Ever since he's become the new Pharaoh, we haven't been able to talk at all.
Mahad crosses his arms, unimpressed.
Mahad: It has only been one day, and things are not like they used to be. Do you not see, he's the King of Egypt now, and does not have time for--
Mana gives Mahad a sly look.
Mana: Is that why you've been doing all the talking for him?
Mahad: That is not true! How did you get past the guards, anyway?
Mana: Well, my magic's been improving.
All three glance down the stairway, where the palace guards stand, utterly frozen in place.
Mahad: Do not tell me you used your freezing spell. We need them to guard the palace!
Mana and King exchange a glance, but Mana doesn't seem very apologetic, and King doesn't admonish her... likely because Mahad is already doing it, and also because it's pretty funny.
Mana: Oops, sorry!
She lifts her hand and intones "I release thee." The guards flash with a pink glow, but... don't un-freeze.
Mana: Uh oh...
Mahad: Your magic's improving, is it?
Mana conjures up a large spell book and begins frantically flipping through it while Mahad looks deeply exasperated in the background.
Mana: It's in here somewhere... let's see, turning humans into toads, getting rid of bad breath... ah, the freeze spell!
Mahad: Just hurry up.
King doesn't intervene, just watches in amusement as they argue, content to be in the company of friends.

Yugi is standing on the roof of a hospital, King doing his incorporeal ghost projection thing beside him while they talk (which freaks the nurses out, who can't see or hear him)
Yugi is talking about how excited he is to be out of the hospital, when King interjects to thank him for putting the Millennium Puzzle back together in "the fire"
Yugi says that Jou was really the one who saved them, then asks King about something "The Millennium Ring personality" said: if the one who solves the Millennium Puzzle has the duty of awakening "the king's" memories, does that make him a king...?
King can't answer him, of course; he doesn't remember anything about himself, including where he came from. All he knows is that he exists within the Puzzle, and can only interact with the world through Yugi when Yugi is wearing it.
He goes on to muse about a stone tablet in Egypt that seems meant to house the Millennium Items, and how they may be able to find some answers there...
But Yugi gets IMMEDIATELY upset from just hinting at that turn in conversation, and frantically tries to change the subject to something else
King barrels right on anyway, assuring Yugi that he's fine never pursuing those answers, as long as they can stay together. Yugi echoes the sentiment and offers to give King all of his own memories instead.
Before either of them can ruminate on this too hard, their friends arrive early to pick Yugi up from the hospital

Atem menaces him for a hot second and then gets around to asking him what the FUCK he thinks he's doing walking into his soul, which earns him an infodump about the Millennium Items and the Egyptian Book of the Dead and goodness gracious shut up Shadi
And then Atem is like "ok" and tortures him a little with a dark game
After playing with his food for a while, he saves Shadi and kicks him out with an ominous warning
Shadi returns the Millennium Puzzle to Yugi, who is, precious boy, oblivious to everything

This memory is of an incomprehensible, endless maze. The entire place is cold like a crypt and draped in shadows that stick to every wall and corner that's more than a few feet away.

This memory covers several days in the life during his childhood. If you think I'm gonna write all that out you're a fool, but here are bullet points:
A myriad of classes: financials, politics, scribing (for multiple forms of writing, formal and otherwise), some of which he may or may not fall asleep on the scrolls for.
One class he does excel in is magic, taught by Mahad, from a previous memory. Mana takes this class with him, as Mahad's student, which means Mahad has to wrangle two children laughing behind their hands and practicing spells on each other all day. RIP.
He and Mana definitely run off on horseback in the middle of the day at least once, while frantic servants scramble to find them and bring them back.
Observing Ancient Egyptian court proceeding - his father and his council of priests handling political matters as well as hearing grievances from the people. In other words, they're also the justice system.
Mana pushing him into the lily pool in the palace gardens at least twice.
And a few memories of his father - who he views as unfailingly strong and kind. The advice he gives after every court observation is for King to always follow what he feels is right, no matter what, and not to waver.

This memory is of an incomprehensible, endless maze. The entire place is cold like a crypt and draped in shadows that stick to every wall and corner that's more than a few feet away.
In it, King(...?) does nothing but wander the maze for an unknowable length of time - some doors lead to more maze, others to more doors, others to walls or stairs going nowhere.
