Cobalt: is yugi with you?
Cobalt: if not, do you know where he might be?

King: No.
King: I haven't seen him since the game.
King: He hasn't been at pep?

Cobalt: he came back after the game to wash up and have some food but i haven't seen him since
Cobalt: i assumed he was probably with you again
Cobalt: but it's been three days and he's not answering his texts

[ internal screaming ]

King: I don't know where he is...
King: Are you going to go looking?

Cobalt: yeah, wednesday and i (and our freshly arrived newbie) are out looking around
Cobalt: do you know of any places he might go?
Cobalt: i think i might check with intensity and see if blue eyes can spot his bike from the air or something

King: I can only think of one place for sure.

[ And then attached is directions to a specific building in the city - the one he and Yugi had co-opted as a hideout. ]

Cobalt: thanks. we'll check it out

[ King's internal screaming is continuing until then, especially since he's probably whisked away on a camping trip at this time ]

[ King is typing... appears on and off a few times. ]

King: We should talk later.

Cobalt: sure
Cobalt: but if it's about the game, don't worry, i'm not upset or anything

King: But you have every right to be.

Cobalt: i guess? doesn't change how i actually feel, though
Cobalt: but, can i ask a question?

King: Yes, of course.

Cobalt: was it because of a ghost?
Cobalt: or was it because i frightened you when I came at you like that?

[ Oh... ]

King: You didn't frighten me.
King: Our ghost... wanted to attack people whenever we were alone with them.
King: I'm sorry.

Cobalt: oh
Cobalt: what a relief!!!!!!!
Cobalt: i was worried i made you feel like you had to defend yourself from me
Cobalt: but if that's not the case then i'm even MORE not upset

King: Why would I ever feel like I need to defend myself from you?

[he starts to write something self-deprecating but deletes it]

Cobalt: because we were all stuck in a haunted house where everyone was killing each other, and i ran at you?

King: Even then... in my right mind, I would never go for such an underhanded killing blow.
King: I would have just broken your nose, or something.

Cobalt: noooo not my perfect nose

Cobalt: In any case, it does weirdly make me feel better to know that that was the intent (even if it was the ghost's intent) and it wasn't all some stupid accident, and it wasn't because you hated me or were scared of me or something like that

Cobalt: though i understand that just because i am at peace with what happened, it doesn't mean you are
Cobalt: i also killed someone i care about and even though they forgave me, i feel like garbage!!
Cobalt: just the worst trash ever!!!!!
Cobalt: even if i was possessed, why would i do that!! what the heck!!! gods!!!

Cobalt: so for what it's worth: i forgive you, i'm not upset with you, you're still my friend. apparently it's going to take more than one fatal stabbing to get rid of me, sucker!!
Cobalt: but if you really want to make it up to me, your punishment is that you have to come hang out with me sometime soon. let's have a picnic or go swimming or something. ✨

King: I do mean that.
King: And it's only right that I accept all such punishments, isn't it?

Cobalt: heck yeah let's hang out and do something fun and relaxing ✨

Cobalt: he's a bit gray but nothing that can't be fixed by incarcerating him in the dorm forever
